Moruya WW 2 Bunker Tour

Local military enthusiast Gary Traynor will lead a tour of the concrete bunkers built during World War 2 by the RAAF as part of the coastal defence system against Japanese and German invasion.

Itinerary (subject to some last minute arrangements:
9.30 am to 10.30 am – Attendees meet at MDHS to view the war room. Gary will explain the contents and history. gold coin donation.
10.40 am – Attendees to meet on corner of George Bass Drive and Donnelly Drive for map distribution and orientation.
10.50 am – Inspection of Underground Transmitter Station (Communications Bunker now derelict near swamp at the northern extremity of the old aerodrome)
11.15 am – Inspection of Number 2 Bomb Dump (in centre of Moruya Racetrack)
11.45 am – Drive by of Number 1 Bomb Dump (Moruya Speedway)
11.55 am – Inspection of Underground Operations Building (current Pistol Range) Moruya Pistol Club.
12.00 noon – Sausage sizzle and depart
