  1. Reginald George Costin enlisted twice and was sent overseas twice. On his first enlistment, he served 275 days and was medically discharged and repatriated to Australia after contracting spinal meningitis and being treated in the army hospitals in Salisbury, England. On return to Australia, he enlisted a second time and again travelled to England where he spent a further period in the army.
